Detailed Return & Refund Terms

1. Eligibility & Condition

To be eligible for any return, the product must:

  • Be returned within the prescribed window (see types below).
  • Be unused, unmodified and in the original packaging with all labels/tags.
  • Include all accessories, invoice and free gifts (if any).
    Products showing evidence of use, tampering, knocked-in adjustments (for bats), or missing items will be rejected.

2. Reporting a Problem

For damaged/defective/delivered-wrong items: contact us immediately at support@meerutsportsfactory.com or WhatsApp [insert number] with:

  • Order number
  • Photos showing damage/defect clearly (at least 3 angles)
  • A brief video of the package as received (unboxing) — this helps establish transit condition.

For change-of-mind returns: initiate return within 7 days of delivery.

3. Video-of-Repacking Requirement (Anti-Fraud Policy)

Why we require this: MSF has experienced fraudulent return practices (e.g., customers replacing original goods with damaged or unrelated items then requesting refunds). To protect honest customers and MSF’s ability to offer fair prices, we require a repacking video on all returns/exchanges.

How to make the repacking video (simple steps):
a. Record yourself opening the item you will return and show the item (SKU label, serial number, weight/label) clearly.
b. Show the original packaging and all accessories.
c. Show the full product (front, back, edges, handle/serial) — hold it up close to the camera.
d. Place the product back into the box exactly as you will ship it; show the packed box seal.
e. Record date & order number on a piece of paper shown in the video for verification.
f. Upload the video to the return request (or share via WhatsApp link provided by MSF). Video should be continuous (no edits) and clearly show real-time packing.

Timing: The repacking video must be recorded and uploaded at the time of creating the return request, before handing the parcel to the carrier. We recommend using your phone in a well-lit area.

Consequences of not providing valid repacking video: MSF reserves the right to deny the return, hold the refund pending inspection, or return the parcel to customer at customer’s cost. Repeated failure to provide valid videos may result in a ban on future purchases and recovery actions.

4. Return Shipping & Costs

  • Defective/Damaged/Incorrect items: MSF arranges and pays return shipping (prepaid label or pickup).
  • Change-of-mind returns/exchanges: Customer pays return shipping. For exchange, outbound shipping for the replacement will be covered by MSF once we accept the returned item and inspect it.
  • International orders: Return shipping and customs charges are the customer’s responsibility unless MSF confirms a manufacturing defect.

5. Inspection & Refund Process

  • Once MSF receives the returned parcel, it will be inspected within 7 business days. Inspection may include weight check, serial/label verification, and visual checks against the repacking video and pre-return photos.

  • If the item passes inspection, MSF will process the refund within 7–10 business days to the original payment method (bank transfer/UPI for COD). Refund timing depends on the payment provider/bank.

  • If the item fails inspection (signs of use, tampering, substituted item), MSF will notify the customer with findings and may: (a) reject the return and return the parcel to the customer (customer pays shipping), or (b) offer a partial refund subject to the condition of the item.

6. Restocking & Handling Fees

For non-defective, change-of-mind returns, MSF may charge a restocking fee of 10% of product value (minimum ₹200) to cover inspection and relisting costs. This fee will be deducted from the refund.

7. Replacement / Exchange Policy

Exchanges for the same SKU and size are permitted within 14 days subject to availability and inspection. If desired replacement SKU is unavailable, customer may opt for refund.

8. Warranty & Repairs

MSF provides manufacturer warranty against manufacturing defects as specified per product (e.g., glue separation, handle defects) — warranty periods vary by product and are stated on the product page. Normal wear and tear, misuse, or damage due to improper use are excluded. Warranty claims require photos, videos and may require the product to be sent to MSF for inspection at MSF’s discretion. Repair charges may apply for non-warranty items.

9. Fraud Detection & Legal Remedies

MSF uses a combination of data (order history, photos, videos, weight checks) and partner inspections to detect fraud. In cases of suspected fraud (including returned item mismatch, reuse of packaging to claim damage, or staged damage), MSF reserves the right to:
• Deny refund and return the item to the customer at customer cost;
• Withhold refunds pending investigation;
• Permanently blacklist the customer from future purchases; and/or
• Initiate civil and criminal proceedings to recover losses and pursue damages, including filing complaints under applicable Indian laws.

10. Chargebacks & Third-Party Payment Disputes

Customers should first contact MSF to resolve issues. Initiating a chargeback/refund claim with your bank/payment provider without first contacting MSF may complicate the resolution and could result in additional verification steps.
